ACNH Version 2.0 Cooking Recipe Locations (Ongoing)

Last updated: 1/4/22

The Animal Crossing New Horizons version 2.0 update is live and cooking is finally released. To start cooking, you need to purchase the cooking permit: “Be a Chef! DIY Recipes +” at the Nook Stop Terminal in the town hall with 2,000 Nook Miles. It will give you the ability to cook and 9 starting recipes (although one is a DIY for a stove and not a dish, so 8). The recipes are:

  • Stonework Kitchen

  • Flour

  • Sugar

  • Carrot Potage

  • Pumpkin Bagel Sandwich

  • Tomato Curry

  • Grilled Sea Bass with Herbs

  • Pancakes

  • Orange Smoothie

Once you have those, you can then buy an additional recipe set: “Basic Cooking Recipes” from the cabinet in the Nookling’s Shop for 4,980 bells (it will have a picture of a whisk on it ). It will give you 8 starting more recipes:

  • Whole Wheat Flour

  • Brown Sugar

  • Seaweed Soup

  • Organic Bread

  • Gnocchi di Patate

  • Tomato Puree

  • Brown Sugar Cupcakes

  • Carrot Cake

There are also hidden recipes you get for completing unspecified objectives. Some are taught to you by villagers, others are found in bottles on the beach, and many are acquired by catching specific fish. A word of warning though, some of the recipes come from rare and difficult to catch fish, so it will be an accomplishment to claim them all.

Below is a list of the cooking recipes I’ve found so far and their triggers/locations (I will update over time as I find more):
