The Build-A-Bear Animal Crossing Stuffed Animals Sold Out Almost Instantly

Build-A-Bear has a very cute new line of Animal Crossing New Horizons stuffed animals featuring Isabelle and Tom Nook. They went on sale yesterday (4/6/21), but people had to wait in a queue for a chance to buy them. Even being in the queue didn’t mean you could actually get one and they were sold out shortly after going on sale. Currently, the Build-A-Bear website doesn’t have a date for when they’ll be back in stock, but it tries to take your email address so they can notify when they will be back (and other promotion information apparently).

They had to have known these would be hot selling items, so it seems this rarity is an attempt to drive up demand. Either way, it would nice to be able to get them the next time they’re available. There are 2 versions of each of the Nook and Isabelle stuffed animals: a version that plays the New Horizons theme and another that will speak in Animalese (The language the characters in Animal Crossing use). You may be able to get one sooner on the secondary market, but people are already doubling the prices, so it may be best to wait.
