Brewester's Cafe Announced For Animal Crossing New Horizons
There aren’t many details yet about the free Animal Crossing update coming in November 2021, but the information will be explained more in the October Nintendo Direct (date TBD). Brewster is a returning character from the Animal Crossing franchise and his cafe will be on the second floor the museum. The cafe is open 24 hours a day, which is a nice touch for an Animal Crossing shop. In Animal Crossing New Leaf, he used to store gyroids for you and allowed you to work your way up to being a coffee aficionado by buying one cup a day (with new order options unlocking over time for you to style your drink in different ways).
With the recent increase of items in Animal Crossing New Horizons you can hold and consume (like the boba teas for example), I’d imagine you’ll be able to take your coffee with you on the go, almost like an in game Starbucks experience. Odds are the November update will be a small one, so don’t get your hope up too much. Animal Crossing New Leaf had plenty of features that Nintendo specifically left out of New Horizons so they could time gate and gradually release content like they were doing the players a favor. They’ll save their big releases for paid content, which I imagine will be sometime in early to mid 2022. Nintendo is really struggling to generate new content across the board. Letting Animal Crossing New Horizons languish has already been a bad business decision, but it will be an even greater missed opportunity if they don’t start making big updates next year.
