Splatoon 3 Announced for Nintendo Switch

Splatoon 3 looks really good so far. The world the game takes place in is really creative and has interesting city designs. It’s like punk meets easy-going dystopia. Old characters make a return and there are new character designs too. The story revolves around the return of mammals to a world dominated by octopods. Nintendo mentioned the last mammals were two cats and give few other details. I don’t expect much from the story, but the rest of the game seems cools. The battles have small new mech armors (shaped like crabs) you can ride around in and new abilities that can be used in battle for mobility and offense. The game is scheduled to release sometime in 2022, but no specific release date for North America has been announced yet. Below are some pictures from the gameplay footage:
